Purpose of wire fencing scheme
Farmers have released this scheme to protect their standing crops from roaches, boars and wild animals. In which an iron barbed fence has to be built around the farm. The government also provides a subsidy of ₹ 200 per running meter around the farm or 50% of the total cost, whichever is less, to a farmer with 2 hectares of land for erecting barbed wire fencing. So the farmer can protect his crops by making a barbed fence around his field.
How much land has to be applied under this scheme?
To avail the benefit of this scheme one should have a minimum land area of two hectares. Building wire fence in own land will get benefit up to 200 as per running meter.
How much benefit will be available under this scheme?
In this scheme farmers will get benefit upto 200 running meter land area. or 50 per cent of the cost whichever is less, the assistance is given.

There are certain eligibility criteria of the scheme to avail the benefit of this scheme. Which is as follows.
- The scheme includes general category farmers, small/marginal categories of general category; Available to women farmers, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers.
- A farmer can take the benefit of this scheme only once.
- The minimum time limit to reap the benefits of this scheme is 10 years.
- The beneficiary farmer has to purchase from the authorized dealer of the manufacturer included in the panel prepared for the purpose of price discovery announced by the farmer account from time to time.
Detailed information on new rules of wire fencing scheme.
In this scheme, new rules are made by the concerned department. Which is as follows.
- According to the target of the concerned district under this scheme, application has to be made on I-Khedoot portal on earliest basis.
- A cluster can be formed for farmers / groups of farmers to benefit under wire fencing scheme.
- Can apply collectively with more than one farmer. Out of which one farmer should be made the team leader.
- Applicant farmers should have minimum 2 hectares of land.
- Within 10 days after applying online, all the farmers of the group have to submit a copy of 7-12 and 8-A, affidavit of the prescribed format and self-certificate for payment of assistance to the group leader to the District Agriculture Officer.
- The applicant farmer/farmer group leader has to deposit the claim at the office of the District Agricultural Officer along with the GST inclusive purchase bill of the same and other necessary documents after the completion of wire fencing.
- After constructing the fence, the farmer will have to do the maintenance at his own expense.

There are certain eligibility criteria to avail this scheme. Which is as follows.
- The beneficiary farmer should be a native of Gujarat.
- A farmer should have his own land.
- A farmer having a land area of at least 2 hectares with the applicant can apply under this scheme.
- The farmer should not have availed wire fencing scheme earlier.
- The benefit of this scheme will be available only once in that survey number.
- The applicant farmer has to submit a copy of 7-12 and 8-A.
- The fence has to be constructed as per the design and norms (specification) decided by the government.
- After getting the prior approval of the assistance by applying online, the work of constructing barbed fence around the farm by the farmer has to be completed within 120 days.

To avail this scheme one has to apply online from ikhedut portal . Applicant farmers can apply online from VCE from their Gram Panchayat. In addition, online form can be filled from the nearest taluka office and other computer workers. We will get information on how to apply online at home.
- Applicant must first type ‘ikhedut portal’ in ‘Google Search’.
- Open the official website https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/ from the result .
- After opening the ikhedut portal website click on “Plan”.
- In which after clicking on the plan, open the “Khetiwadi nee Yojana” on rank-1 .
- “ Farmer Scheme ” will show different schemes of “Agricultural Mechanization/Components of Post Harvest”.
- In which you have to click on the plan named ” Tarni Waad “.
- In which after reading all the information of this scheme click on “Apply” and open the website.
- Are you now a registered applicant farmer? In which if it has been registered earlier then “Yes” and if not “No” then further processing has to be done.
- If registered by the applicant, Captcha Image has to be submitted after entering Aadhaar card and mobile number.
- If the beneficiary farmer has not registered iKhedoot Portal then fill the online form by selecting ‘No’.
- The farmer has to save the application after filling the information completely accurately in the online form.
- The beneficiary farmers have to check the details again and confirm the application.
- No correction will be made after online application is confirmed.
- The farmer can get the print based on the application number.
